Easter Sunday!

So this morning I talked to my kids about why we celebrate Easter. I was telling them about Mary coming to the tomb to see Jesus but not Mary Jesus's mom and Brayden said "The mary with the little lamb?" It was so funny after I laughed, I realized we've got a lot to teach these sweet things.
We had a beautiful lesson in YW's today on Christ's ressurection. Then in sacarament meeting we had a thought in our program that I really liked:
"Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling."

Too Funny!

My mom sent me this e-mail today called Baked Beans here goes (it's long but well worth it):
One day I met a sweet gentleman and fell in love. When it became apparent that we would marry, I made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Some months later, on my birthday, my car broke down on the way home from work. Since I lived in the countryside I called my husband and told him that I would be late because I had to walk home. On my way, I passed by a small diner and the odor of baked beams was more than I could stand. With miles to walk, I figured that I would walk off any ill effects by the time I reached home, so I stopped at the diner and before I knew it, I had consumed three large orders of baked beans. All the way home, I made sure that I released all the gas. Upon my arrival, my husband seemed excited to see me and exclaimed delightedly: "Darling I have a surprise for dinner tonight." He then blindfolded me and led me to my chair at the dinner table. I took a seat and just as he was about to remove my blindfold, the phone rang. He made me promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned and went to answer the call. The baked beans I had consumed were still affecting me and the pressure was becoming most unbearable, so while my husband was out of the room I seized the opportunity, shifted my weight to one leg and let one go. It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a pulpwood mill. I took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around me vigorously. Then, shifting to the other cheek, I ripped off three more. The stink was worse than cooked cabbage. Keeping my ears carefully tuned to the conversation in the other room, I went on like this for another few minutes. The pleasure was indescribable. When eventually the telephone farewells signaled the end of my freedom, I quickly fanned the air a few more times with my napkin, placed it on my lap and folded my hands back on it feeling very relieved and pleased with myself. My face must have been the picture of innocence when my husband returned, apologizing for taking so long. He asked my if I had peeked through the blindfold, and I assured him I had not. At this point, he removed the blindfold, and twelve dinner guests seated around the table chorused "Happy Birthday!" I fainted.

Happy St. Patricks/Birthdays!

I just wanted to tell everyone Happy St. Patricks Day! It also happens to be my dad & nephew Travis's birthdays. So happy birthday. I also want to let both of them now how much I love them. My dad has always been such a great example for me to look up to and follow. Thanks Dad! And Travis has always had a special place in my heart.
I was reading the Reader's Digest and this made me laugh:
My husband'd expanding waistline was a sore subject, but I could no longer ignore it, especially since he's still young and handsome. "Honey," I said, using my seductive voice, "if you lose 20 pounds, I promise to dance for you."
Using his sarcastic voice, he shot back, "Lose 10 pounds and I'll watch."

I'm Back!

My stupid computer is busted. I have to sneak on Ryan's laptop whenever possible. I've asked him to leave it home, but that is not an option. So here's an update:
I got my Lifetime at WW on Tuesday, I have lost 30 pounds in 4 months. (HOORAY) One month until we go on our family vacation to WDW in Florida. 2 spec houses still to sell. Ryan had to get stitches in his head last Friday, he got them out yesterday. I let Ryanna sluff school on Friday to go to SL for card friday. Brayden told me that a kid at school taught him a bad word, I asked him what it was and he said BIT--. I told him not to sit by that kid anymore. Grandma Della took us to lunch today at the Dairy Keen in Heber. Stratton was in heaven with the trains. Thanks Grandma Della! Tonight we are taking the kids to Hortin Hears A Who and swimming at the Rec Center. They are so excited. I am off to take a nap so I can be energized by tonight.

Happy Birthday/Blessing Day!

Today is my older/only bro's birthday so Happy Birthday Bro! We got to go to Maddox last night thanks to my parents & celebrated it was delicious. We need to do it more often (but we can pay for our own) I'm thinkin maybe McDonalds.
We also went down to Gunnison (armpit) for Anniston's baby blessing. She is so cute & good. The dinner after was good too. As for the drive, let's just say I can't wait for my kids to go back to school tommorow.
Also they induced Amber (my best friend from HS) today. She has a boy & girl & is having another girl Avery so I can't wait to hear the details. I'll let you know because we both have big babies.
