Well it's been a month since I joined Weight Watchers. 11 pounds down, 29 more to go!

Stratton's B-day Party!

We had Stratton's b-day party on Sunday night. He had such a good time opening presents, once he realized what was in them. He had to show everything to Karl. Thanks for coming everybody!!

Strep throat

Ryanna woke up twice Saturday night with the worst sore throat ever. On Sunday she couldn't talk normal, had a fever, chills, aches etc.. when I looked at her throat I couldn't see it very well so I just gave her tylenol every 4 hours. I asked her if she wanted to go to the doctor tommorow and she said "NO TODAY." By the time I got home from church and looked at it again it was bad. I mean really bad. It had red blood looking spots, her tonsils were swollen. She said it hurt to cough, sneeze, swollow the whole nine yards. I called Mareah she is the expert when it comes to strep and she said she thought from the diagnosis it was strep and I should get her into a doctor right away. So I headed down to the Instacare in S.L. Luckily no one was there except for us ( I didn't think that happened) so they swabbed her throat and it was all bloody. The results came back... POSITIVE! That's what I get for bragging to everyone that my kids have never had strep (in my face) So since she is still contagious for 24 hrs she will be staying home from school tommorow. I just hope the boys don't get it (knock on wood) Can you imagine Stratton with it?

Card Party!

Last night I went to a card party. We made 20 cards (2 of each) I was there from 7 p.m. until midnight. It was only $7 for all the cards and she lets everyone choose a prize. It was fun. You know me and this kind of stuff.

Last U of U home game

On Saturday, I went with Ryan & Brayden to the last U of U home game. We had a great time. The final score was 28-10 for the Utes. GO UTES!! The BYU-UTAH game should be a good one.

H.S. Musical On Ice

Thursday night I took Ryanna to High School Musical On Ice. It was awesome! We got there a little early so we bought Ryanna a H.S.M. hat & dipping dots and me some kettle corn & water. We ended up taking the boys to grandma Juliene and sleeping over and letting Ryanna sluff school on Friday to go with us to Shelby's for card day. We had a great time! Well worth the money. Thanks Ryan!

Homemaking

Tonight was mommy-daughter homemaking. We made a magnet board & a sign with Ryanna's name. We had a great time together. I love you Ryanna!

Family Vacation

We are planning a family vacation. We have decided to take the kids over spring break in April to Walt Disney World in Florida. We are so excited. Ryan & I were talking about it and Brayden pipes in "Hey my birthday is April 15th" we hadn't even thought about it, but we will be there for his birthday! What a special birthday it will be for him.

My new calling

I got a new calling today at church. No more Scouts - SWEET! I have been called to serve as the Laurel Advisor in the Young Womens. It will be nice to have a change. Change is good.

Weight Watchers

I did it. I signed up for Weight Watchers. I hope I can stick with it and knock the pants off of Ryan. (Oh I already do that!) 3 days of working out, how many more to go? All I keep thinking of is President Hinkley's quote "Try a little harder, to be a little better." That's my moto.

INSPIRED

Okay I've been inspired. On Friday night we went out to dinner & I saw this girl that used to be gigantic. She has lost 60 pounds in 4 months from joining weight watchers. So last night I had Ryan bring my dusty trendmill back in my bedroom & I got up and did it this morning. Every time I start back excercising I have to ask myself one question "Why in the hell have I done this to myself?" I am considering joining weight watchers online.

Fracture or Sprain?

On Sunday after Kyson's blessing, Ryanna was playing "dead man" on the trampoline that was underground when she fell & twisted her ankle. I kept telling her "toughen up" "quit milking it" etc... Then on Monday when she was limping I took a closer look at it and felt bad because it was really swollen & bruised. So I took her to the doctor today. They put a splint on it & sent us to the hospital to get x-rays. They will call me tommorow & let me know the results.

Halloween Party

Grandpa & Grandma Stevens took our kids to a Halloween Party over in Heber tonight. Ryan & I went to Park City. When the kids got home Stratton had won "the cutest costume award." He didn't even end up wearing the headband with the ogre ears cuz I thought he might lose it, which adds the final touch to the costume.

S H R E K

Stratton is obsessed with Shrek. It is all we have on the T.V. 24/7. So I wanted him to be Shrek for Halloween. I didn't want to pay what they wanted for the Shrek costumes so I got on ebay and found one for $4.99 plus $9.00 for shipping so for only $13.99 I got this. The only problem? Stratton doesn't like wearing it. Now what? It also came with a Shrek mask that I know he wont wear. Maybe we will paint his face green but what about the ears?

Brayden's Kindergarten Project:

We had to make a self esteem poster for Brayden's class. The teacher will chose a student each day and they get to be the king/queen of the day. They will do some activities using their name and learn more about them. Then his teacher will laminate all of the posters and stick them in a book for the kids to look at all year.

Baby Kyson

Today I got to watch Kyson while my mother & sister in-law went to the temple. He was great! He looks just like his dad. (mini Marc)

Ryan got (had) to take Brayden with him to the Utah football game. Thanks Babe! All I can say is SWEET SATURDAY!! (1 down, 2 to go)

Halloween @ Gardner Village

Today my mother & sister in-laws (out laws) went to Gardner Village to see the witches. Stratton rode a pony & visited the petting zoo. He loved it. If you haven't been there this time of year you've got to take the kids & go.

"Get away"

Saturday night the Tychsen's invited us to stay at the Hilton with their family. So we met them down at the Olive Garden (table for 10), was seated in our own room even. Dinner was tasty! Then the guys took the kid-os swimming while us women went and had a piece of heaven. (an hour massage) Of course I left my camera in the van and didn't want to get drenched again to get it, so sorry no pictures. We got to stay in the executive rooms, they brought us chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolates and also had a "suite" where they served dessert last night and a continental breakfast this morning. Then we went to Chilis for lunch. (PUKE) It wasn't very good. (I only like the chips & salsa) Then we ran a few errands and came home and took one of my favorite things: A NAP! Next time will definetly be without kids. It was fun but a lot of work. Thanks again Sarah & Dev!

We got to tend baby Anniston today while Cass took Bridger to the school. Brayden thought he was pretty luck to feed her. Stratton was just happy to be by her. I asked Brayden if I should have another baby and he said "I wish this was our baby and Cassidee could get her another baby girl." But Cass wouldn't go for that. DANG! That would be easy. Brayden did say he would like me to have another baby. I said "would you want a baby brother or sister?" and he said "I think a sister so it would be even." We'll see.

The kids decorated their pumpkins today. They had a blast. I cannot believe that it's already October! This is my idea of decorating pumpkins. Forget the carving... bring on Mr. Potato Heads.

Stratton was so funny today. I looked in Brayden's room and there he was sitting on this truck (like it could hold him) making vroom vroom sounds. He's funny!

Today was PTC. Brayden's teacher says he is a great student. He does exactly what he's told! (Are you kidding? totally opposite of what he's like at home) Ryanna's teacher says she loves having Ryanna in her class. She is a great student. Straight A's (as always) Good Job Kids!
