S if for Stratton S is for Stitches!

My friend Missy called last night and invited Ryanna & I to go with her & Carter to Cottonwood High School to see The Forgotten Carols by Michael McLean. They were going to go as a family but her daughter Sidney came home with a sick belly (throwing up).
Ryan texted me & told me he was taking the boys to the Rec Center. So I am sitting there enjoying the show when my phone vibrated & I didn't think much then it vibrated again that I had a text, and then it kept vibrating that someone was trying to get a hold of me. I thought maybe it was Justin (Missy's husband) because she left her phone in the car and Sidney sick at home. I finally went to the foyer, saw that it had been Ryan calling and called him. He told me that they were on their way to Heber hospital to get stitches. Stratton had fallen at the Rec center and cut his hand open on some sharp tile. As we were talking he said "Oh crap I'm getting pulled over - I'm in trouble and my cell phone is going to die." Ryan's mom & dad were on their way home from Gunnison and met Ryan at the hospital to take Brayden with them. Brayden didn't want to go because he was so worried about Stratton, but went anyways. So at intermission I called Ryan's dads cell phone & asked for an update. He text me back letting me know that Ryan didn't get a ticket for speeding, it was a 2" cut on his right hand, that they were keeping Brayden overnight, and that Ryan had his moms cellphone. It was hard to concentrate on the program, knowing what was happening and that I wasn't there but I knew Ryan had it under control. It was an awesome experience last night. Michael McLean is an amazing guy. I even ended up beating Ryan home. He said they put atleast 15 maybe 20 stitches in his hand. It was a rough night but we all survived! Thank goodness it was only stitches and nothing worse.

Happy Birthday Stratton!

Happy Birthday Stratton! My baby turned 3 today. He is such a good boy. He is my buddy. He is such a joy to have in our family. We love you Stratton! Last week I took him with me to help in Ryanna's class (all day) and he pulled the fire alarm and evacuated the whole school. I couldn't believe it, that's why I don't help at the school. I put in my day for the whole year. I'm done.

Hello Facebook and 21st Century. I have just discovered Facebook and it is awesome. I am finding people that I haven't talked to or seen for 15 years. Who knows how much blogging I'll do now that I've found facebook. Why has it taken me this long to discover this? Why hasn't anyone clued me? Back to Facebook I go!

Well to start off UEA it was card Thursday at my mom's. Didn't win a game but I did walk away with something even better. My mom gave me her two hundred and something dollar Dooney & Bourke purse. It is the cutest purse ever. I am so excited. Thank you, thank you mom this is the only way I will ever own one. I wish I could post pictures but I can't so you'll just have to see it in person. I am scheduling appointments. Nothing planned for Friday. On Saturday we have a U of U game against Colorado that we will go to as a family. I prefer just Ryan & I but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Dang Kids! Oh by the way the person that is suppose to speak with Ryan on Sunday is going to be out of town so guess who the lucky dog is? You got it - ME. This is 2/2 months that I have to speak with him. I had no idea that this calling was for me too or I would have not only said "no" but "hell no" I am so mad. If you have any suggestions of something I could do to not get invited back please let me know.

I'm Back!

To sum up September it was all blah.
To start October Ryanna & I had the opportunity to go with my parents to California. The first day we took Ryanna to the American Girl Doll Store it is every girl's dream. Highlight of the trip! The second day we went to Disneyland let me just say that one day of that was enough. The third day we went to Sea World don't waste your money it wasn't worth it. And the forth day we went to Newport Beach. Ryanna has decided that she would like to move to California. I told her every night look they don't have stars here in California and she replied "but they have the beach and they don't have snow." How could I argue that point? It was so nice to get away but it's always hard for me to come back and deal with reality. A special thanks to my parents, my in-laws, Shelby and everyone else who made this trip possible!

Scripture Study

"I fear that many of us rush about from day to day taking for granted the holy scriptures. We scramble to honor appointments with physicians, lawyers, and businessmen. Yet we think nothing of postponing interviews with Deity--postponing scripture study. Little wonder we develop anemic souls and lose our direction in living. How much better it would be if we planned and held sacred fifteen or twenty minutes a day for reading the scriptures. Such interviews with Deity would help us recognize his voice and enable us to receive guidance in all of our affairs. We must look to God through the scriptures."

Best Day Ever!

Today was the Best Day Ever. The first day of school! I felt like a cheerleader today. Yelling, jumping up & down. I was in such a good mood. My kids waited for the bus for like 15 minutes and it never came so I finally had to drive them when there was like 5 minutes until it started. They both had a good day. Ryanna came home saying she has the best teacher ever (Mr. Cook) and Brayden came home saying that he almost fell asleep at school. He was so tired and it was long. Maybe if he went to sleep at a decent time he wouldn't feel so tired. The hardest part is trying to get on a schedule again and not having a husband around at night to help. He has been working around the clock. I had YW's tonight so grandma Della watched the kids. I'm so blessed to live by her. It was a getting to know your leaders. We played games and each had written 4-5 things about ourselved that the girls had to guess which leader it was. It was fun! I love my calling - oh have I already said that?

We love you Ryanna. We are glad to have you in our happy family.

American Mall

Last night Ryanna and I were able to go to the premiere of "American Mall" which was filmed at the Provo Towne Mall. Our Realtor Steve and his wife Marilou invited us to go with them. She is an attorney (she used to work for Warner Bros.) It was so much fun. It will premiere on Monday August 11th on MTV. A lot of the cast was there. We got to shake hands with the producer. The director was there. After the movie all of the cast that was there came up front and they did a Q & A. We got free drinks and popcorn. Ryanna even liked it more than HSM (if you can believe that) they will even being doing a 2nd one of "American Mall" and a 4th HSM. Marilou told Ryanna that she might be able to take Ryanna with her one day when they are shooting the 2nd one and let her watch. Ryanna is ecstatic. This is totally her "thing" So a big thanks to Steve & Marilou for inviting us to go with you. Tune in on Monday night (MTV). I think it's on at 9:00 p.m. but I'm not for sure.

The phone call

So Ryan got the phone call on Friday night saying that the Stake President would like to meet with him and his wife on Sunday morning @ 8 a.m. Can't wait to see what it is. I keep teasing Ryan that he is going to be "invited" to the High Council, he does not like the sound of that. Let you know tommorow what it is.

I had a BLAST this last couple of days at girls camp. I have not laughed that hard or until I cried for a long time. I have the best calling and we have the best girls. I didn't have time to miss anyone because I was always busy cooking, cleaning, laughing, learning and increasing my testimony. It was so fun to get to know the girls better and to see them in a different setting. I love the gospel. I am so blessed. I definetly charged my spiritual battery and it feels so good. I am glad to be home and in my own bed (even though I slept in a trailer and slept well)but what a much needed break for 3 days. Thanks again to everyone that helped me out - I couldn't have gone without you.

Girls Camp!

Well back from one camping trip and off to another. The family camping trip was fun.
Ryan even took off a Saturday and went 4 wheeling with us up South Fork. It was nice to sleep in my own bed last night, I'm sure tonight will be even better. I'm off in the morning with the YW girls. I'm even more excited for this one. I loved girls camp when I was a YW. Ryanna took off with her cousins to Rexburg, ID (thanks Marie) and my boys will be going to stay with both of their grandma's (thank you grandma's)and I'm sure Shelby will get some of the fun too, she's planning on taking my boys to Cherry Hill on Friday (thanks Shel). I'm sure I'll have lots to tell when I get home, until then.

We are going camping over the 24th weekend. We have pulled our trailer over to Ryan's parents house. His moms sister & family are all coming to join us. It sounds quite exciting. Hey with the price of gas these days where else can you go? We will be swimming, 4 wheeling, watching fireworks, playing cards, visiting, eating etc.. what more could anyone ask for? I will let you know all about it when I return. Hope you all have a Happy 24th! 10-4

New calling

The executive clerk walks up to me before sacrament meeting and tells me that the bishop would like to talk to me after chuch. All during sacrament I am thinking "oh great what could it be?" So after church I go in the bishop's office and before he could even say anything I start crying "I love my calling I love the YW" and he says "Don't worry you'll still be in there, let me tell you what it is" He told me that they would like me to be in the Presidency as the 1st councelor working with the Miamaids instead of an advisor in the Laurels. As long as I stay in the YW's - I don't really care what I am. He also said "I am aware of your situation and realize that you might have to leave us. Here is my sunday thought: The joy that you give to others is the joy that comes back to You.

Saturday, July 19, 2008

We went out for Chinese tonight. My fortune cookie said: BE PREPARED TO RECEIVE SOMETHING SPECIAL. I can't wait to see what it is. Ryan said he knows what it is.
Only one more month until school starts! SWEET - I can't wait.
I teach the lesson tommorow in YW's it is on Obedience.

worst nightmares

One of my worst nightmares has come true. I laid Stratton down for a nap today and the next thing we knew he was back outside. He even showed me how he got out of his crib. He's so proud. Yikes! Don't tell me he's done with naps cuz I know I'm not.
Ryan put the air conditioner in our room today. I wanted it put in our family room like last year but I'll take it wherever I can atleast there will be one cool room in the house to hide out in.
The rodeo sucked. It was probably the worst one I've been to. I got tickets for my mom and dad tonight. I sure hope it's better than last night. It would have to be.
Tommorow is the big parade. Ryanna is so excited to dance in it. She is liking dance more than ballet now.
My allergies are so bad. I feel like crap. My nose is either stuffy or runny, it is so sore from constantly wiping it. I can't sleep. I don't want to eat (which is a good thing). I am just miserable. I never had allergies until I had kids.

I'm melting!

My house is so hot. It is 82 in here. Someone please wake me from this nightmare. I am not a nice person when I'm hot & sweaty. I have made Ryan promise me that he will never build me a house without a/c again. I used to get in my car & drive around when I was hot, but now gas prices are so ridiculous that I can't do that.
Our weekend getaway was hot but great! It's hard coming back to reality especially when it's hotter than (you know what). We've got the big ol' Oakley RODEO tonight! Can't wait - I really like the 4th of July it's something out of the norm or ssdd.

Weekend Getaway!

I am so excited. Ryan & I have two flights that need to be used by next week so we are flying to Scottsdale Arizona for the weekend. The best part: NO KIDS Thanks to my mom & Shel. Our realtor has even offered a condo for us to stay in, thanks Pam. Ryan called his cousin Gavin that lives in Phoenix and told him we are coming. He said it is going to be between 110 & 113. You know how I take the heat - I hope I don't melt. But Arizona was my idea so I have no one to blame but myself. Ryan's old boss also lives in Scottsdale so it will be fun to see them, their house and the houses that he's built. I just hope Ryan doesn't get any ideas (of moving).
I keep trying to post pictures on my blog, but it's not working.

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear me, happy birthday to me.
Yes I am the big "31" today and am not liking it too much. We will be at the Bees game tonight if anyone would like to join us.
By the way my sister Natalie made a World's record. She gave me my birthday present 10 days early. She is known for calling you on your birthday and saying "I mailed your present today, you should get it in a few days" and you always get it late. But not this year. She made me feel real special so thanks Nat!
Here's to another year - CHEERS!

HELP! School's out

Yesterday was the last day of school. YIKES! Summer - again - already? I can't believe it. Ryanna is very excited to have her very first boy teacher Mr. Cook. Brayden is excited for first grade. His teacher is Ryanna's favorite teacher of all Mrs. McCormick. I think both of these teachers will be great so now I can sit back, relax and enjoy the summer RIGHT? Yeah right. I'm still trying to convince myself.
So last night Ryanna had her first boy/girl end of school party. She had me write on the invitations END OF SCHOOL IT'S TIME FOR KIDS TO RULE! There were 10 kids, 4 boys and 6 girls. They ate pizza, played outside, watched a movie, had a pillow fight ate candy and popcorn and most of all had fun. Ryan was so for the party and then he ended up going to graduation and getting out of it. I'm glad he could go support his youngest brother Riker. By the way Congrats Riker we love ya!

I would like to tell my mom "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" and let her know how much I love her. I feel so blessed to call her "mom" She is so funny, she can make anyone laugh and not just any laugh she has a great sense of humor. She is also a good grandma to my kids. Thanks mom for being "you" and all you do for us. WE LOVE YOU!

Now for my mother's day. Ryanna made me a keychain at school and a Mother's Day booklet. Here is one page from it: ONLY ONE MOTHER
M any things you do for me.
O ne person that understands.
T housands of people but only you.
H ere when I fall.
E veryone would want a mom like you.
R eady to face anything.
She also wrote a Mother's Day essay and won first place. I still need to get a copy of it. She won me a rose (it is beautiful) Thanks Ryanna I love you!

Brayden made me a picture it has his handprint and a cut out heart in the middle of it with a stem like a flower. Then there is a poem:

A "piece of me
I give to you.
I painted this flower
to say, "I love you."

The heart is you.
The hand is me.
To show we are friends-
The best there can be.

I hope you will save it
And look back someday
At the flower we shared
On your special day.

Thank you Brayden. I love you too!

All you mother's out there have a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

baby sister?

I was driving Ryanna to ballet today and she said "Mom I've been praying really hard for a baby sister, and I say "I know my mom's worked really hard on loosing this weight but she can do it again, I really want a baby sister PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE?"
I had to remind her that sometimes we don't always get what we pray for.

Today is Brayden's birthday! He turned 6. Ryan took the day off & we went to NSL to Kangaroo Zoo. It was so fun and not busy at all. Karl even came. Then Brayden chose McDonald's happy meals for lunch. The adults went to Cafe Rio. I wish I could post a picture but I can't on Ryan's laptop. We did pick up my computer today.

Spring break is also this week. So yesterday Mareah & I took the kids to the zoo. It was so busy but we couldn't have asked for better weather (78 degrees) We even got sun burns.

loose tooth

Listen Up! Brayden is so excited, he has his first loose tooth and can't wait for it to come out. I offered to do the hononrs, he turned me down. Darn it - I love doing stuff like that.

Ryan & I have been working around the clock to get these houses ready. Today is the first Realtor open house. They are having it catered, giving away ipod nano's etc. I told Ryan to tell them to leave the left overs. So I've got to vanish from 12-3.
Keep your fingers crossed for us that something will sell.

Ryanna won a $100 bill. The movie theater up here in Kamas does a monthly drawing for $100 and Ryanna just happened to win. Lucky girl! She got her picture taken, it will be displayed along with the rest of the winners up at the good ol' Kamas Theater. She was a little disappointed when her dad told her she had to pay tithing and put half of it in the bank. She wanted me to take her to the outlets, right after she got it. No such luck!

Sad News!

So a couple of days ago Ryan told me he didn't feel good about going on our vacation with our situation right now (3 house pmts) I agreed (he'd be real fun let me tell ya.) So I cancelled everything yesterday with 10 more days until we were supposed to leave. Last night we had a family meeting and broke the sad news to the kids. Ryanna was crying so hard Brayden finally said "Ryanna quit crying I can't hear" we knew that she would take it the worst, because she's old enough to understand. All she could say was "Daddy you promised, this was my dream vacation and grandma & I already went shopping and bought new outfits for this trip." Ryan "promised" her that one day we will go, when things hopefully get better (financially)

Today Karl was at our house and Brayden of course was using his potty mouth, so Stratton copied what Brayden had said. Karl said "you're not being a very good example to your brother look what you're teaching him", and Brayden said "I'm not a xample(sample) that's when you get food at stores. Karl & I were laughing. I do have to admit that Brayden can be a character. If he wasn't so cute I'm afraid I could do some damage.

Easter Sunday!

So this morning I talked to my kids about why we celebrate Easter. I was telling them about Mary coming to the tomb to see Jesus but not Mary Jesus's mom and Brayden said "The mary with the little lamb?" It was so funny after I laughed, I realized we've got a lot to teach these sweet things.
We had a beautiful lesson in YW's today on Christ's ressurection. Then in sacarament meeting we had a thought in our program that I really liked:
"Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling."

Too Funny!

My mom sent me this e-mail today called Baked Beans here goes (it's long but well worth it):
One day I met a sweet gentleman and fell in love. When it became apparent that we would marry, I made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Some months later, on my birthday, my car broke down on the way home from work. Since I lived in the countryside I called my husband and told him that I would be late because I had to walk home. On my way, I passed by a small diner and the odor of baked beams was more than I could stand. With miles to walk, I figured that I would walk off any ill effects by the time I reached home, so I stopped at the diner and before I knew it, I had consumed three large orders of baked beans. All the way home, I made sure that I released all the gas. Upon my arrival, my husband seemed excited to see me and exclaimed delightedly: "Darling I have a surprise for dinner tonight." He then blindfolded me and led me to my chair at the dinner table. I took a seat and just as he was about to remove my blindfold, the phone rang. He made me promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned and went to answer the call. The baked beans I had consumed were still affecting me and the pressure was becoming most unbearable, so while my husband was out of the room I seized the opportunity, shifted my weight to one leg and let one go. It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a pulpwood mill. I took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around me vigorously. Then, shifting to the other cheek, I ripped off three more. The stink was worse than cooked cabbage. Keeping my ears carefully tuned to the conversation in the other room, I went on like this for another few minutes. The pleasure was indescribable. When eventually the telephone farewells signaled the end of my freedom, I quickly fanned the air a few more times with my napkin, placed it on my lap and folded my hands back on it feeling very relieved and pleased with myself. My face must have been the picture of innocence when my husband returned, apologizing for taking so long. He asked my if I had peeked through the blindfold, and I assured him I had not. At this point, he removed the blindfold, and twelve dinner guests seated around the table chorused "Happy Birthday!" I fainted.

Happy St. Patricks/Birthdays!

I just wanted to tell everyone Happy St. Patricks Day! It also happens to be my dad & nephew Travis's birthdays. So happy birthday. I also want to let both of them now how much I love them. My dad has always been such a great example for me to look up to and follow. Thanks Dad! And Travis has always had a special place in my heart.
I was reading the Reader's Digest and this made me laugh:
My husband'd expanding waistline was a sore subject, but I could no longer ignore it, especially since he's still young and handsome. "Honey," I said, using my seductive voice, "if you lose 20 pounds, I promise to dance for you."
Using his sarcastic voice, he shot back, "Lose 10 pounds and I'll watch."

I'm Back!

My stupid computer is busted. I have to sneak on Ryan's laptop whenever possible. I've asked him to leave it home, but that is not an option. So here's an update:
I got my Lifetime at WW on Tuesday, I have lost 30 pounds in 4 months. (HOORAY) One month until we go on our family vacation to WDW in Florida. 2 spec houses still to sell. Ryan had to get stitches in his head last Friday, he got them out yesterday. I let Ryanna sluff school on Friday to go to SL for card friday. Brayden told me that a kid at school taught him a bad word, I asked him what it was and he said BIT--. I told him not to sit by that kid anymore. Grandma Della took us to lunch today at the Dairy Keen in Heber. Stratton was in heaven with the trains. Thanks Grandma Della! Tonight we are taking the kids to Hortin Hears A Who and swimming at the Rec Center. They are so excited. I am off to take a nap so I can be energized by tonight.

Happy Birthday/Blessing Day!

Today is my older/only bro's birthday so Happy Birthday Bro! We got to go to Maddox last night thanks to my parents & celebrated it was delicious. We need to do it more often (but we can pay for our own) I'm thinkin maybe McDonalds.
We also went down to Gunnison (armpit) for Anniston's baby blessing. She is so cute & good. The dinner after was good too. As for the drive, let's just say I can't wait for my kids to go back to school tommorow.
Also they induced Amber (my best friend from HS) today. She has a boy & girl & is having another girl Avery so I can't wait to hear the details. I'll let you know because we both have big babies.

Here's the lowdown:

Tuesday I went to WW's (-26.5 lbs) and YW's (personal progress - need I say more)
Wednesday was SSDD
Thursday I went to lunch with some friends Mareah, Tracy, Candice and some of our kids. We went to Dairy Keen in Heber (the train place) all I can say is that Stratton was in heaven. He loved every minute of it and as always I forgot my camera.
Friday of course card day! I couldn't do jack! I'm getting tired of getting spanked (thanks mom & Shel)!
Missy and I went up here to the Kamas Theater and watched "Over My Dead Body" It was alright there were some pretty funny parts.

Until next time: sign off

We will be eating potato soup, rolls, layered salad and for dessert turnovers (apple & cherry) I love Bunko especially when it's not at my house! I will be happy to get it over with for the year. So Ryan blew the Anniversary/Valentine's Day hopefully he has learned for the years to come. I almost wonder if he does things like that on purpose just for the MAKEUP part. I wont go into details to save you all the disgusting image but let's just say it was pretty dang good! On Saturday we took the kids to the Utes 100 years of basketball game with g & g Stevens. We were able to ride TRAX for the first time. Stratton was in 7th heaven riding the "choo choo train." Then Ryan & I were able to go out w/out the kids. Ryan wanted to take me on a carriage ride for good old times but I decided against it. It was too cold. So we ended up going to the Gateway for dinner & a movie. The only problem was there wasn't really a movie that we wanted to see. We went to McGrath's for dinner. It was pretty good. I haven't been eating too much lately because I haven't been able to taste things which has actually been good. Why eat it if you can't taste it? Right?
It was my turn to teach YW's again today. It was alright. Those girls sure do make me sweat!
I just have to say I love my calling! It doesn't get any better than this and coming from me that says a lot.

Happy Valentines/12 yr. Anniversary

Happy Valentines/12 yr. Anniversary! I can't believe it's been 12 years it seems longer. j/k It's a good thing I have "short memory loss" and Ryan has "go in one ear and out the other ear syndrome" that's our secret. Yes, I am still sick, so we're supposedly going out tommorow night (we'll see.) I got up and made Ryan breakfast in bed, the "12" reasons I love him sign & a gave him a card. The kids had great Valentine parties at school! Just for your curiosity, I have not received anything yet. Ryan isn't home from work yet, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Okay I am, but I shouldn't. I don't understand why he chose Valentines day to get married because: flowers are too expensive, restraunts are too busy. I thought it was 2 in 1 sort of thing but it's not working out that way. I hope everyone else had a Happy Valentine's Day that included a gift.
(P.S. I'll keep you posted)

sick again!

I am sick again! I thought I had strep throat again because of how I felt yesterday, so I went to the Dr. and negative. They even did a test for influenza and negative. I wish it would have been something, so they could have given me some magical medicine. I had Brayden's PTC at 4 p.m. which Ryan luckily went to (that's a first.) He also took the boys to Heber with him so I could get some zzz's. I had to miss WW's, YW's etc. Today I keep whispering and the kids look at me like (we're not in church) but it hurts to talk. My voice is all raspy and almost gone. I had to go to PTC today for Ryanna even though I didn't feel up to it. Brayden didn't have any school today and Ryanna got out at 12. I am ready for a break from these kids. But I don't feel up to working out tonight even though I should.

Shawna is my workout instructor. She is also a personal trainer. She lost 70 lbs. 4 years ago at WW. She is always complaining how small her boobs are and that she would like a boob job. I don't know why she doesn't/hasn't gotten one because they have a lot of money. Last night during my class she was again complaining about her small boobs. I said "if you rub toilet paper on them they get bigger" she stopped what she was doing and said "really" then I said "well it worked on my butt!" She was laughing so hard, she had never heard that one before. She said "Dang, I was going to go home & start rubbing TP on them." (Yes she is blonde, also)

Last night Missy and I went to see PS I Love You. Sad but good! Stratton is very sick. He has a high fever, cough, runny nose, it's going to be a long night. Tonight at YW's we learned how to make divinity (I don't care for it) Now it's time to go get my butt kicked and sweat my you know what's off at Body Blast!!

Shelby's house

I have listened to Stratton all day say "go Shelby's house day" I've told him Shelby's not home today. "go Shelby's house day" I finally got so tired of hearing him say that, that I put him down for a nap at 11 a.m. and when he woke up guess what he said? "Go Shelby's house day."

So Ryanna and I had a girls night out tonight. We went to Hannah Montana's 3-D concert, then to Cafe Rio and our last stop was McDonald's for a hot fudge sundae. Ryanna said "we should do this more often I like hanging out with my mom" I think it's good for her to see the other side of me (nice) instead of the mean mom.

Still Alive!

Yes, believe it or not I am still alive after yesterday's workout. We worked our legs with weights doing lunges, squats, lifts etc. It was quite the workout. I am so sore today, but I still did my treadmill after all. (Maybe the treadmill isn't so bad) It's time to start toning. Ashley asked me if I was going with her today and I said not only NO but HELL NO! I got my haircut & colored after by Ashley, she says she cut it like Katie Holmes new haircut? I'll have to post a picture of it.

weekly update

On Sunday I taught the lesson in YW's - it went very well. I am quite pleased with myself. Then to hear the sad news of our Prophet Sunday night was sad.
Monday was s.s.d.d
Tonight I had WW's. I have lost a total of 22.5 lbs. I am in a slump! I am so sick of the &*$@ treadmill I could scream. It's sorda a love/hate relationship. I like what it's doing for me but it SUCKS while I'm doing it. Then I had YW's, we worked on Personal Progress.
Ashley has talked me into going with her tommorow morning at 6:30 a.m. to her personal trainers workout. This should be good. I'll let you know tommorow how that went (if I'm still alive) As for now 10/4

3 x's in 2 months

Ryanna has strep again! This is 3 x's in 2 months. Did I say that Ryanna has strep throat again? I am so strepped out I could scream. Last night Ryan and I went and saw The bucket list - it was alright. I think Ryan liked it more than I did. I love going to the movies. I just rented Mr. Woodcock so we'll see how that one is. That's all for now.

27 dresses

Tonight I went with my friend Missy to see the movie 27 dresses. It was a major chick flick and such a good one. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes chick fliks (what girls doesn't & what guy doesn't after his girl has just seen one) It makes you both happy!

strep throat

I have been feeling like total crap. Tuesday night I had the chills. Wednesday I wake up with a sore throat during the day I get body aches, chills, a bad headache, a fever. I have never felt so miserable. I've never had strep throat so I don't know the symptoms etc.. So I think it might be, so I go to the doctor this morning and sure enough it's strep throat. I think I honestly got it so that I will have more sympathy when Ryanna gets it. So I was going to get a shot but then she found out it would be 2 big shots in my butt so she thought it was best that I swollow these horse pills. As if your throat doesn't hurt bad enough here swollow these 2 x a day for 10 days. The worst part of it all is that I have to miss BUNKO tonight. What about my sanity?

10% keychain

Last night at ww I was awarded my 10% keychain for losing the first 10% of my starting weight. Now I need to decide on a weight within my range and maintain for 6 weeks to become a lifetime. I want to lose more but not have to pay. I was going to take a picture of me holding it but I looked like crap so here's without me.

black eye

If you think he looks bad, you should see the other kid. j/k Stratton came out of Brayden's bedroom crying & holding his eye. I think he tripped and hit one of Brayden's dresser drawers that was left open but I'm not sure because the rest of us were in the kitchen.

This is what I woke up to today!
Last night I had YW's. It was a class activity just for the Laurels, we had the manager of the Zions bank up here come and talk to the girls (leaders) about finances. Here are some interesting things that I learned:

2. What percentage of Americans always or sometimes worry about money? (98%)
3. What is the personal savings rate in the U.S.? (-2.2%)
4. Financial issues are the most common cause of conflict for what percentage of couples? (70%)
5. How many months of expenses should be in a household's emergency savings account? (3)
6. What is the typical household debt (excluding first mortgage)? ($38,000)
7. What is the average household credit card debt? ($9,312)
8. What percentage of women will utimately have sole responsibility for their finances? (95%)
10. What multiple of a "bread winner's" annual salary is needed in life insurance coverage? (10)

I finally had ww after having 3 weeks off. I lost 4.5 during the holidays and have lost a total of 18.5 in 9 weeks. I guess that working out every day is paying off. It gives me motivation to keep doing it.

Doctor Day

Well I guess you could say today was doctor day. First I took Ryanna to the doctor, yeah that's right strep throat again. Then I had my annual check up, now that is what I call fun stuff. I told Ryan that I got my IUD out. He did not like the sound of that. He worked in the office & tended the kids.
Yesterday we went to Avieree's baby blessing and dinner. Ryanna was in Idaho & Karl came & tended the boys so it was just the two of us. Ashley is still begging me to tend her a couple of days a week. YIKES!!

Saturday, January 5, 2008

I've been in bed most of the day not feeling too good. Luckily grandpa & grandma took Ryanna to Idaho with them, except she called tonight and thinks she has strep throat again and wanted to come home. SORRY no can do see ya tommorrow. Brayden & Stratton have fought most of the day. When I finally got out of bed one of the times, they had taken a whole big box of nerds thrown them all over the hardwood floor & called it their "slip & slide."

Card Friday?

Well Shel cancelled today because she had to go pick Jaxon up from school (or so she says). So it was quite a surprise - mom actually came up to my house today and we had our own card day. It was quite the game. We played 3 different rounds. I went out every time. Mom couldn't do crap! I had an enjoyable time. I'm not so sure if mom will ever come up again. Thanks for being such a good sport mom. Love ya!

New Year's Resolution!

I guess my blog should be one of my New Year's Resolutions! I just like reading other people's blogs not my own. Christmas was great. New Year's Eve sucked! We were suppose to go to a party that got canceled at the last minute, due to the flu. So we just stayed home and played games with the kids, ate pizza and went to bed at 10 p.m. New Year's Day, I left Ryan home with the kids and went shopping and to a movie. The movie was great. JUNO I would definetly recommend it.
